Gold thank-you cards

These are some cards that I made with the Good as Gold kit.  They were perfect to thank Natalie's power skating coaches fir the great job that they did this season.  The photos did not turn out that well, but the gold is eye catching on these cards.  I love that they even have gold envelope liners.

Cards I made at February card class

I enjoy going to card classes for new ideas & inspiration.  These are the cards I made in February at my friend Karina's...

And this card is the card that I made for our swap.  I started out with a simple design with the hearts just layer on each other but I decided to puzzle piece them together instead & then cut out 'love" with the thin lit die to produce a negative image.

Cards for the card boxes

Here are some more cards that I included In my MIL card box.

This card has a corner that can be removed & used a a book mark afterward.  What a great idea!  It is based on a card by Mary Fish of Stampin Pretty.  I check out her creative ideas frequently for inspiration.

This is another Sympathy card using the Love & Sympathy stamp set.  While searching for inspiration, I realized that not many sympathy cards incorporate red.  When I found one similar to this by Selene Kempton & decided that just a hint of red would not be too bold & worked well with the sentiment LOVE to tie it all together.

Some more birthday cards

This is definitely a feminine birthday card.  For this card I CASE'd Catherine Pooler & just changed the colours (Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Early Expresso) ever so slightly.

This card was CASE'd from Deborah Wright for basic layout & colour scheme.  It is a fun card that I think will also work for a masculine birthday.

This card was inspired by H2 designs but I really did my own twist on it with the Hardwood background stamp & die cut letters in Night of Navy & Real Red.  This one is can be a masculine card.

Favourite birthday cards

These are some of my favourite cards that I have made while working on my card boxes.
I started this card with the layout for the stamp on the embossed picture frame but then decided to add it to a centre step card when I found the perfect DSP for it.  I am so happy the way it turned out!

This card design is another from Carol Payne.  I have made it into a birthday card & adapted it slightly but I just love it!  These penguins from the Zoo Review are so adorable & to think I wasn't sure I would like this stamp set.

I based this card on a design by Vicky Hayes.  I stamped it on canvas paper (as opposed to textured card stock) & then sponged to give the effect of a sunrise or sunset.  It was very easy but looks great!
