Last week's cards

Ok so this post is not quite so out of date. These are the cards that I worked on last week...
These are some cards that I made at my friend Karina's card class.  I can't take credit for the design because that was all her but they are great little note cards with various sentiments.
These are the cards I made from this month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  I made 2 of each design so 2 will be for birthdays & the other 2 will be just to say hi.  I probably should send out cards for no particular reason more often because I am starting to get a build up of these or I will just have to stop making them.  Nah!  I think that it is better to just send some happy mail!

Father's Day card for Duane

I posted photos of the Father's Day cards that I made for my Father-in-law & for my Dad but here is the one that I made for Duane...

Birthday gift with MDS

I made this birthday gift for my friend Jill. Jill is a great cook & she professes that she works out so that she can eat.  When I saw these quotes from Julia Child in a MDS download, I knew it had Jill written all over it.  I printed out the images on photo-paper & put them in a frame to hang in her kitchen.  She can always take out the images & place them in separate frames so that they will fit wherever she wishes to display them.
This is the card that I made for her & also made 12 others for a card swap that I took part in.

Another card catch up

While I have been busy making cards, I have not been good at keeping up with my blog, so here I am again doing a card catch up.

I made this card at my friend Karina's during her annual Stampin Up garage sale.

I made this card for my Father-in-law's birthday in early June.  He grew up in Halifax so I thought that he would appreciate the By the Tide theme.

This is a card that I made for one of Dana's friends.  For her birthday they were having an ice cream bar so I thought that this would be perfect. I used my scented embossing powder so the ice cream cones smell like vanilla & the cherry smells like a cherry!

Dana was invited to attend the same friend's party for her little brother at a climbing gym.  This is the card that I made for him.

I hate to throw out scraps. It doesn't seem to matter if it is cloth or paper (I don't know where I get that from!)  Here is a card that I made using just the scraps from the Lego card above & then I ran it through the Big Shot with an embossing folder & voila.  It feels great to use up those bits & pieces of paper.

This was my card for June's Secret Happy Mail.  I just punched out circles from cardstock, layered them to look like a sucker.  I just love this card!

Baby cowboy & viking gifts

I finished my project in time for the shower.  From my previous posts you will remember that I only had to make the hat band & star embellishments for the booties.  I decided to also make a diaper cover at the last minute but it was super easy. Dave has taken a photo of Brennan in this already and it is adorable!
The viking hat was also completed for the shower.  I had to make the horns & attach them to the helmet.  This is made in a 3-6 month size, so I will have to wait to see a photo of Brennan Erik in it.  Maybe I should make a matching one for Dave?

Shower invitations

These are the shower invitations that I made as a hybrid using My Digital Studio.  We did not end up sending many out by mail as we were running short on time. We made use of Facebook & got the word out that way.

Birthday cards box

This is a box of cards that I made for a friend's birthday to go along with the one sheet wonder cards that I made.  The last photo is of the box that the cards can be stored in.

Birthday card & one sheet wonder

I tried out the triple layer stamping & just loved how it turned out.  This card was made for a very special friend.  I will definitely use this technique again!
Here I made a box & four cards with the one sheet wonder stamping technique & the Secret Garden Stamp set.
