Fine Feathers Cards

I have had the Fine Feathers Stamp set for quite some time now but I just never used it.  I decided for my Secret Swap this month I would figure out something to do with it & got my inspiration from, you guessed it Pinterest.  I came across a video that used one 81/2 x 11 randomly stamped with 3 images and then used it to create 4 cards and box to hold them.  I used a very old colour (Blue Bayou), a very new colour (Smoky Slate) a current colour (Daffodil Delight) and a colour on the way out (Lucky Limeade).

Blanket for baby Brennan

This is the Minky fabric & cotton blanket that I made while waiting for the baby to arrive.  I made it with neutral colours because we did not know whether it would be a boy or a girl.  I forgot to take a picture of it at home, so the photo is in the hospital when we went to visit baby Brennan.

Sewing project for a birthday

I got a chance to pull out the sewing machine & make a couple of fun pieces for my niece's 5th birthday.  The sewing machine is at the back of the table where I do all my paper crafting now, so I have to get it all cleaned up before I can use it.  My crafting area is getting to be much better organized, so it is a little easier to do.  Once I got these completed I tackled another sewing project for the baby since he gave us extra time before his arrival on May 11th.

Card catch up

I have been delinquent in my posts lately but I have still been busy crafting (just not posting).  I thought that I would catch up today.  Here are some cards that I finally finished for Father's Day & for my niece's birthday. I also made a card for my new nephew but I think I might have forgotten to photograph it.  Oh well!
This card has an antique look so it is rather difficult to see the tractor. I probably should have done it in green but I think that he will appreciate the effort.
This one is for Miss Sarah.  I made a similar card for Jon but his has a Lego man inside the treat cup.  We bought a couple of Lego surprises hoping to get one that I could use for a card for Sarah but they were not quite right so I went with Smarties & ice cream because then I could incorporate her favourite colour - purple! I think she will like it but she will have to keep mom away from the Smarties (you just can't get them in the US).

Happy May Day!

Happy May Day!  I was inspired to make paper cones to celebrate.  After school today the girls & I drove around & delivered flower to some special friends.  They took turns ringing the doorbell & running to our vehicle to make a quick getaway.  So far, one friend has figured out that it was us but no one was caught in the act.  Fun to spread some springtime cheer for a spring that has been anything but cheery.

Mother's & Father's Day cards

Getting ready for Mother's Day & Father's Day, I completed 4 cards this past weekend.  One is for my mom, one for my mother-in-law, one for my secret happy mail swap, an extra & one for my father-in-law.  I have nearly completed the birthday card for my niece & my Father's Day card for my dad.  I will post photos of those shortly.
